The world is increasingly noisy, so I decided to not contribute to the cacophony of ads, AI generated slop, BookToks, etc., and just focus on my projects. I have about four books in decent shape, so I’m going to drip-feed them as I complete them.
First up is the third book in The Calypso Files – This time Fortunes Lost and Found. Honestly, I didn’t show Caly much love in the past, so she finally got her first promo late last month. While she’s still fresh in the minds of new readers, her third adventure will drop later this fall.
If you’re on my email list, you know that I open the pre-order early and drop the price to a low 99¢ – and then the price goes up. I sent that notification last week, but I didn’t mention that this is really a much shorter window than usual – that’s what writing first means – write, publish, repeat. There won’t be a big marketing blitz, cover reveal, or all of the other things that go into a launch because really, launches are loud – and I’m choosing quiet.
Now, you know I do love some mid-journey images to use for inspiration, and if you want a visual peek inside this world, just look to the sidebar for a quick new video and some nice stills that I’ve been staring at while I write this adventure. I have to admit, every time I sink into Caly’s world, I feel a little bad because Caly deserves her own spotlight and I’m happily making it up to her with this book.
So what’s in store for Caly this time? Naturally, this is another paranormal art mystery – because Caly’s fun, snarky, and knows the criminal underworld in the art market. The adventure picks up right after the end of Book 2 – so Caly’s waiting in an airport, wrestling with her own personal demons, and wondering when she became Saint Caly of the Catastrophes.
